What’s a financial woman? Is it a financial advisor, an investment banker or an accountant? My definition for a financial woman is much broader than these career labels; a financial woman is any woman who embraces and accepts responsibility for her financial journey.
If she shares her money with a man, then the two of them are a team moving toward mutual life goals. Isn’t money really about creating the life that we want?
What does this look like for a busy woman today? It’s really pretty simple and basic. A financial woman knows:
- What she wants that money can buy, along with estimated time frames and amounts, so she can stay inspired and focused on creating the life she desires
- Whether she is depleting or adding to her wealth with her lifestyle; (let’s own the word wealth even though it may feel really big!)
- Her financial net worth
- Her personal net worth, which can increase her financial net worth
- An understanding of the investing basics for any money that she has placed in any type of product or service
Every woman can be a financial woman. Both her well-being and that of her family may depend on it. In the comments section below, I’d love to hear the steps you are taking or want to take next to become a financial woman.
