The good news for investors is that the U.S. stock market had its largest upward one month movement in nine years during the month of April. It is nice to finally be writing about upward moves instead of downward moves! What I find remarkable about this is that it occurred during a month that saw one major U.S. automaker declare bankruptcy another one seriously talking of bankruptcy and enormous concern over a new breed of flu. It is good to see some resiliency in the market. Let’s hope it lasts. Happy May Day!
