Last week I had a serious avalanche of investing books in my office. I filled all of my book shelves years ago, and I had begun stacking books all along a window shelf. January always call me to clear out my clutter and get things in order, so I am moving all of my non-investment books out of my office down to our increasingly less used game room. Last night I worked on the investment book project until bedtime. This morning I am looking over at my shelf and feeling a little jolt of… energy? Besides my bookshelves, I am cleaning up some old investments that did not go as planned. I definitely believe that we need order in our financial lives to invite more wealth to grow. Order allows you to know how much money you have, and where that money is; this is two of the three tenants of being a financially empowered woman.
Before January escapes us, once again, make a list of where you need more order around your money. For you, this may be clearing out old files, getting rid of high interest rate debt or creating a better investment spreadsheet. And get ready to feel more energetic and financially empowered!
