Financial Woman has an exciting new area focusing on creating more cash flow with savvy smart style. Increasingly, I am hearing from women that are concerned about their financial future, yet, they’re unsure what steps to take on a daily basis to start growing their money. Step 1 is increasing cash flow…
As you’ve no doubt previously read at Financial Woman, cash flow is queen! One side of this equation is increasing income, of course, and the other side is smarter spending. As you probably know, focusing on both sides helps you reach your financial goals faster. Today, I am addressing the smarter spending bit.
While the thought of budgeting is no fun whatsoever, the thought of creating a financial future that you choose is quite fun! This is why I don’t use the “b” word; instead, I like to say that we all have a certain amount of money that comes in every month, and we get to choose how to use that money. How empowering is that? It leads one to say…Hmm, that means the sum of my choices are determining my financial health. That’s pretty cool!
Women naturally enjoy getting good value when they make purchases, right? This is why we just love to tell girlfriends about our latest smart finds. Let’s take this natural tendency and sedge way it into your cash flow habits so you can grow your money.
Anyway, I think we are all ready to become more conscious and wiser about spending our financial resources after the craziness of the past few years. We want financial freedom and security, and are now ready to take the steps to get them. But…without sacrificing those things we love, which usually includes:
~clothes that make us feel happy and confident
~a healthy and fun lifestyle
~a well maintained home that is an expression of who we are, and filled with belongings we truly love
Isn’t this on everyone wish list? And rightly so...
How will we take these steps to have better cash flow while also living a life of style? First, by focusing on what you really want in your life, not just the next few weeks; and second, by exploring the wonder of creating style from items that are found with savvy smart shopping.
And sometimes we just need to pay more attention to what we are spending, and why and how we are spending it. (There enters the Roadmap to Financial Success course!)
Why should we do this? Because savvy smart shopping lends to having more money to put aside to grow! And this leads to the life we really want. Besides, it also usually means a more distinctive and unique style! And who doesn’t love that?
